| Right on, Daniel! We`ve been here just over a year. In our first 12 months, we`ve had our car stolen, gone through a war, and survived a run-in with a "Tzfah" (Palestinian viper, a very deadly snake). (Actually, all of that happened in a 3-week span, but why focus too narrowly?) We moved here from Canada to give our children and grandchildren a priceless gift: The priviledge of living in a Jewish land among fellow Jews. Warts and all. My husband and I will always be immigrants to some extent ... strangers in a strange land. But our children, our daughters who began to speak with Israeli accents after only 3 weeks here ... they will thrive on the fruit of the trees we plant today. |
