Of course Aliya is difficult but its not impossible. The first 2 years are the worst and if you come young enough to serve in the Army you have a really good chance of feeling fully integrated.
I`m an oleh and many of my friends and work colleagues are also olim. While we all like to sit around and bitch a little, on the whole I think we love it here. Let`s not forget that from a Jewish perspective this is where its happening.
Come and give it a try, you may just like it and even if you`re earning less money here (sigh) think about how much you`ll save on day school tuition.
Lastly, all the complaining makes me think that maybe all these western olim have aclimated pretty well. It`s just so Israeli to blame the govt. for everything that goes wrong in your life. |
