Title:Changing countries is not easy.

Of course, it is disheartening to hear about everyone`s bad experiences. I had a difficult time when I migrated from the US to Australia in the 1960s, and indeed I returned to the US. Outsiders aren`t fully welcomed anywhere; even moving from state to state or city to city in the US has its hardships. But to move to a country that speaks a totally different language, with an extreme form of graft nepotism at work everywhere, it seems almost hopeless...

...about as hopeless as it was for my grandparents to migrate to the US. In their case, it was more hopeless in the country they were leaving. Perhaps things will get that hopeless in the US in years to come, and then I will emigrate. I will be very old then, and not much good to Israel or anyone.

Expecting Israel to change soon is really expecting a miracle. Miracles do happen, of course, so I keep hoping.
