Only the occupation and the virulent, sickening nationalism in Israel and specifically in the Knesset can create such an absurd discussion: whether to `recognize` the Green line in school book maps or not.

Only in Israel and countries like North Korea you can hear such explicit twisting of the obvious reality like `The Palestinian people don`t exist` or `There is no Green Line`.

It only proves the desperate situation Israel is in: if their national parliament is seriously deluding itself so much, what can we expect from any support for a real peace with the Palestinian, which would mean admitting to such painful realities like Israeli responsibility for ethnioc cleansing of the Palestinians from 400 villages in Israel, a small number of massacres by Lehi and Sterngroup forces, Napalm bombing on civilians in the 6 day war, etc., etc.?

No, Israel is a long, long way from coming to terms with its own recent history.
