If Mr. Olmert feels strongly enough about Syrian ties with Iran and Syrian undermining of Lebanon, then let him negotiate an end to Syrian ties with Iran and Syrian interfrence in Lebanon, in addition to other outstanding issues. If he does not, then why should we take him at his word that these considerations justify scuttling any negotiations? In other words, if they are important enough to derail peace talks, surely they are important enough to risk peace talks. N`est ce pas? |
