| The police either are scared to death of the Black Hundreds or willingly collude with them, as several incidents have recently shown. The bus driver was a coward and negligent in his obligation to keep order, even if he was likely to be lynched if he did more than phone for outside help. Finally, this is not an issue of modesty, but of virulent misogyny (hatred of women) that runs parallel with homophobia in the same population. The attackers aren`t religious people at all, mere hooligans. Note also the xenophobic comments. These haredim are fascists, no different from Islamist fundamentalists. No different. |
