The main problem here, is that tourists who visit Israel, mistakingly believe that the country is Western - in common customs or gender/racial/religious equality. Although not to the degree of Tehran or Riyadh; the treatment of this tourist seems to be reminiscent of many other incidents occurring in that region. Maybe travel warnings should be in effect, to protect tourists.
