| The American people realized that Carter was an incompetent leader and voted him out after one term. He has since made an effort to improve how history will record his life and accomplishments. He wants to ride into history as the saviour of the Palestinians. The problem is that the Palestinian leaders are not interested in being saved. The masses in Gaza are paying and will continue to pay a terrible price for this. Jimmy Carter with his biased remarks will only succeed in escalating the situation. The road to peace is a two way street. Israel must have a willing partner to travel this road with. All Carter will accomplish with his remarks will be to put another wedge between the two peoples. |
