France is to be lauded, but has only announced half its plan. Israel requires intelligence on Syria`s and Iran`s arming of Hezbollah. It acquires that intelligence by airplane.
If France wishes to take over the role of acquiring the intelligence and passing it on to Israel, then of course Israel can stop running the planes. But I have not noticed that France has revealed this part of its plan.
It can surely allow Israel to stop flying its planes, if France will take over the job itself. France need only to offer to do that. Why does it not? Is it truly arguing that the matter of Hezballah`s armament should not be monitored at all? |
