I`m very, very sympathetic to the Palestinians, I one hundred percent support their right to live anywhere they want in their homeland in peace, unmolested by the Israeli apartheid machine, and I find most of the arguments by the whacky zionists here to be just disingenusous excuses for stealing Arab land and property in order to create a racist state.

BUT in this case I think the second poster has a point here - firing rockets into people should be a criminal offense, and carry with it the risk of due punishment, regardless of the "political" reasoning behind it. Whether it`s the "IDF" or Hamas, firing a weapon with intent to harm people should be punishable by law. It would set a VERY VERY good example if both the soldiers that fired into Beit Hanoun and the Qassam rocket firers were tried together, since they are really both comitting the same offense/crime. This would send a very good message to the civilized people of the region that don`t what to have weapons fired at them!!!
