| It should be noted that while fertility treatment for non-haredi women is subsidized by the kupot for up to two children, haredi women with less than SIX children are given treatment virtually free. I know this for a fact, because I work with it. We recently had a 49 year old mother of 9 begging for treatment, and she openly said that because of medical advances, menopause should not be a barrier to having children. And since they will not have antenatal scans, and would not have abortions if the fetus was defective, it would mean that there would be a high percentage of damaged children for us to take care as well. |
