| For starters, what did this mother of 18 die of at the tender age of 44? Was it at all attributable to the fact that she gave birth to 18 children? The author asks "What effects do so many births have on a woman`s health? And what of the children growing up among so many siblings? Is it to their benefit?" She refers to studies that superficially answer the first question w/out supplying any details. The other questions are never addressed. I am disappointed in Ha`aretz` low journalistic standards. |
