My wife is an Orthodox Jew, converted initially in Japan with a Conservative rabbi, whose desire to practice Judaism correctly, led him to elevate himself spiritually by becoming an Orthodox rabbi, now the chief rabbi in Poland.
My wife studied with Chabad, which sets the standard of Judaism, and Chabad converted her in 1998, an Orthodox conversion which she lives every day as a fully observant Jew.
We are planning on making Aliya to Israel. I am making a pilot trip to Israel next month to seek employment and housing prospects.
