| So heart breaking. Israel is alienating those who are some of the most dedicated Jews and tireless supporters of Israel. Why do these zealots ignore an established and rich tradition and seemingly seek to halt Judaism`s ability to adapt for the sake of the preservation and unity of the greater nation. Israel is less and less for the sanctuary and promise of all Jews now and forever but rather has become a kind of elitist cabal looking down at those outside the the state the in much the same way many in the ultra-orthodox community look down their noses at their non-orthodox neighbors. This is worse because these groups seek to entirely exclude, even attempting to rob other Jews of their indentity as Jews. So very sad. |
