| Fact is that the old NPD, a moderate nationalist party, boring and chanceless because of unrealistic positions like neutralism, anti- Europeanism and nostalgia for certain aspects of the Third Reich, was refreshed in the 80s and 90s by snitchers (Spitzel) of the internal intelligence service which in an unsurpassable cynicism is named "Verfassungsschutz" (constitutional protection). The stoolies became part of the presidency and changed the course to primitive Neo-nazism that attracted skinheads and hooligans. Even though the infiltration transpired when the ban application against the party failed, we "have" the problem now -- well organized violent youths who commit anti-Jewish, anti-foreigners and anti-dissidents crimes. Thank you, oh protectioners of our constitution! |
