Muslims against Christians. Shiites against Sunnis. Pro-Syrians against anti-Syrians. Hizbollah, Druze, and others. Dissatisfied Palestinians living in refugee camps viciously discrminated against (many Palestinian women are forced to be prostitutes because of severe employment discrimination).
All these groups with deep-rooted and historical hatred for each other. All armed. All in tight quarters in a tiny country; one of the smallest in the world and much of it mountainous.
If this isn`t a recipe for continual strife and civil war, what is? At best Lebanon is a boiling pot ready to overflow and at worst - well, we all saw it a while back: civil war.
Lebanon should join up with Syria. You won`t be able to take care of yourselves. You`ll just kill each other. |
