When you think about it, this was a very strange war. It was not fought between nations, but one nation against a foreign terrorist militia. This was Iran`s war against Israel, fought on Lebanese territory resulting in Lebanese deaths and billions in damage to Lebanese infrastructure.
What did Lebanon do during all this? Not much. Why didn`t they stop the war; at least try, rather than sitting on their hands and doing nothing. Why have an army if they`re too scared to do anything when they are needed? That Siniora should be tried for treason for not ordering his army into the battle to try to stop the war. After all, Lebanon had nothing to gain by all this; only Iran did.
Now we see open conflict between Siniora and Nasrallah. Well Mr. PM you have laid the groundwork for a new civil war - it`s coming - but you have no one to blame but yourself.
Many Lebanese have told me any attempts to disarm hezzy would start civil war. Cowards. Your cowardice resulted in war anyway. |
