| It is rather disingenious to call Lieberman a racist because he believes that all citizens of Israel and especially its Arab denisens should take an oath of loyalty or that a population transfer might be a solution to internal threat. A label is a poor substitute for discussion and no one, especilly out-of-Israel respoondents appreciate its corrosive nature. Still, to attack a polition with verbal equivalent of rotten eggs is one thing. To claim that a popular party of the Russian Street is `racist` entity spreading its `toxic furit" is not an expression of disagreement. It is an expression of fear that left feels towards those who lived through leftist ideology and rhetoric put to practice in the USSR. |
