Yad Yashem Is a memorial to the dead. To what great use to the living can this money be put? My parents are dead g-d bless their souls and like most observant Jews they were buried in a plain wooden box. I paid for their stones and visit and tend their resting place and treasured memory at the appropriate times in the religious calendar. However my religion tells me that there is a limit to the money that I must spend on their memory and a limit on the time that I spend remembering them because they are gone from this world. With all due respect this donation does not make sense and is immoral and a goes against the very essence of Jewish teaching. The Holocaust should be taught as part of every schools curriculum and it is entirely unnecessary to throw money at it.
