| My wife has been employed in the medical profession for some 30 years. Awhile back, she decided to wear Muslim type-clothing that covered her hair but not her face, although I would have preferred that she wear the veil. It instantly changed the relationship she had with her co-workers; and, by the end of the day, she was paranoid and terrified at the responses she received. She has learned by experience that Christians are NOT as tolerant as the media would have you believe. The only positive response she received was from a Jewish woman who prominently displayed a Star of David. This is in a city which claims it is `tolerant of diversity`. |
