It matters little what we call this woman, as long as we recognize that she and others like her across this planet that have faced life threatening situations on the behalf of others; passed the test God gave them in ways most of us will never have to discover. She should be lauded as a "human being" of exemplary compassion and fortitude who served not just jews but humanity in general. Whether you are a jew, a gentile, a muslim, a christian, or black, white, pink or purple the moral code she observed and acted upon is something we should all strive for in both emergencies such as the Holocaust, and in our daily lives.

There are many, many heros that you never hear about; be proud of all of them and rejoice that there is a mechanism like this award that can and does recognize at least a few of these wonderful people along the way.
