Although I am abroad now, I am not disgusted by Israeli acts because I KNOW HISTORY. I know that when the UN granted two states, one arab, one jewish, it was the Arabs who attacked first (5 countries at once), it was a feverish Arab hatred for the Jewish state the was the cause of every major conflict since then. Even the palestinian conflict was carefully cultivated by hostile arab states needing a scapegoat.
Israel had to become tough and sadly must employ police-state tactics because it faces hostile Arabs every day.
Let Hamas renounce violence and recognize israel and you will see how quickly the Israelis will move for peace.
Ask yourself why that doesnt happen? Because they hate jews. Not for a few more yards of dirt.
The Pals are pawns in a greater Arab game. Israel will defend itself and will get mean and tough as is needed. |
