Both the al-Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock are built on stolen Jewish land. The Muslims themselves know that they were built on the site of the Jewish Holy Temple:
Although the common Arabic term for the Temple Mount is al-Haram esh-Sharif, "the Noble Sanctuary", the Muslems also know the designation Bayt al-Maqdas, "the Holy Temple". This temr is the Arabic cognate of the Hebrew Beit ha-Miqdash.
Actually, Muhammad never visited Jerusalem, neither while awake nor dreaming. In his "night Journey", he was transported to "the farthest shrine ", al-Aqsa in Arabic, but the name Jeruslame occurs nowhere in this description.
Therefore, today, modern scholars of Islam state that Muhammad meant a shrine in Northern Arabia. Jerusalem had no significance for hm especially after the Arabian Jews refused to accept his religion.
Som in conclusion, the Muslims should demolsih the illegally-built structures they have erected on the Temple Mount. |
