Gypsies were clearly persecuted. Gays were the only group other than Jews where historians have found a clear "Final Solution" plan. Both deserve clear recognition.
Yes, 6 million of us died. It`s time, however, that people became comfortable with the fact that admitting another 6 million died alongside us doesn`t diminish our tragedy. It makes it more important. We were the canary in the coal mine.
