Gypsies were clearly persecuted. Gays were the only group other than Jews where historians have found a clear "Final Solution" plan. Both deserve clear recognition.
Yes, 6 million of us died. It`s time, however, that people became comfortable with the fact that admitting another 6 million died alongside us doesn`t diminish our tragedy. It makes it more important. We were the canary in the coal mine.
Reminding people that it might have been primarily about Jews, but was never "just" about Jews is important; especially today when the new-Left excuses jihad by blindly thinking it`s just about Israel. |
