Sad fact is most left at the urging of the Arab leaders. Most left without ever seeing an Israeli soldier or fighter. Most left with the belief that after the Arab armies wiped out Israel, they could and would return.
It was a poorly thought out gamble that they lost.
All historical data supports this interpretation of the disater that the Arab leaders brought upon the Arab population of the British mandated Palestinian territory.
If you think that there was a country called Palestine and that a bunch of Jews showed up, drove of the local population and stole it, think again. |
