| Bernadotte was no pro-Nazi. His main objective was to save scandinavians (Danes and Norwegians), but he managed to get out several thousand jewish women and children in his white buses. He used his german connection and managed to save in total 13.000 people. In Norway and Denmark this is still celebrated. I see nothing wrong in looking into the the shortcomings of Bernadotte, he was no saint. But to call him an antisemit and a pro-nazi is a disgrace and a shameful act towards all of them who were rescued thanks to his efforts (jews and gentiles). If you have a case - please state the facts, otherwise be silent. |
