Joeri,
I was born in the USA and have lived in Israel for 25 years. I have 2 academic degrees (one from an Israeli university and one from North America). My wife is also American and has a B.A. and M.A. and together we`re raising 4 wonderful children in Israel. I`m a successful lawyer with a practice focusing on Israel`s fantastic hi-tech industry. But according to you I`m a loser merely because I live in Israel - how messed up are you. Sure Israel`s not for everyone (nor is any place) and it has its problems - suicide bombers on busses is one of the main downers on living here. But it feels more like home than any place else I`ve ever been. We live a good life here but I`m sure in the US I could earn 2 or 3 times what I`m earning here - but all things considered my quality of life here (other than the terrorists) is great and I wouldn`t trade it for anything. If that makes me a looser in your eyes - so be it. |
