| Yes, most Arabs (of all religious sects) do now believe that Nassrallah is their hero. He, with his truthfulness and clarity of purpose, has awakened the belief that humiliating submission has proved to be insatiable to the Israelis; the Arabs gave more than they could and got nothing. The Israeli dictum of the ?carrot and the stick? (the carrot is not using the stick) has been stood up to. The much-abused notion of ?terrorist? has worn thin by its injudicious over-use. If terrorism is standing up at last for your collective honour and rights, then most Arabs are indeed terrorists. It is the Arabs who are the victims of Israeli terror (indeed most Israelis boast of having a such a military dominance and instruments of destruction that all its neighbours must live in the everlasting ?terror? of repercussion if they don?t succumb). Nassrallah has shown all his people an alternative. In fact,Arab Christians, Muslims and Druze have no issues internally other than the dealing with Israel! |
