| Given it`s isolated geographic locale and surrounded by hostiles who avidly seek it`s destruction, Eretz Israel has shown great restraint in it`s resolve not to unleash it`s might. The recent police action and foray into Lebanon is a perfect example regardless of what is said on the Arab street. Israel went in with kid-gloves and showed undue control. That Golda Meir didn`t use nuclear arms when she had every reason to is proof positive any perceived Jewish threat is pure folly. Only the likes of the current fascist regime in Iran have prompted talk of a preemptive strike by Israel and rightfully so. Egypt has a peace treaty with Israel and need not concern itself with such matters unless it chooses to abrogate same. |
