Israel has never threatened to wipe out a country off the map unlike another a few other nations we could name. Even back in the Yom Kippur War when it faced a serious existential threat with its back to the wall it did not threaten its enemies with nuclear weapons.
Is there any doubt that if the roles were reversed, with Arab nations having superior firepower, that they wouldn`t fulfill their words and wipe out the Jews? On the other hand, Israel could have repeatedly wiped out its enemies in many opportunities but chose not to.
Clearly, like for everything else in the middle-east, context is important. |
