| Please do not omit the fact that the attack of Israel on Lebanon, was AFTER the Hezbullah attack on Israel, same story with Gaza. The only reason Hezbullah has not destroyed Israel so far, is because it does not yet have the capability: Hezbullah says that the ultimate goal is the total annihilation of Israel, while any negotiations, are merely temporary tactics to re-group and prepare. Unfortunately, the Palestinian Hamas also does not recognize Israel, and officially says the same things about the ultimate goal of destroying Israel. While it is true that Israel attacked and occupied Palestinian and Lebanese territory, you are intentionally omitting the root of the problem. These extremist groups NEVER agreed with the territory allocated to Israel by the UN after WW II. They say officially that once Israel pulls back to the 1948 borders, this will make it easier to annihilate it due to the smaller territory to maneuver. This is OFFICIAL policy of Hamas, Hezbullah and Iran. |
