Totally agree!
Non-Muslims who only see Islam through rotten extremists who hide behind religion to fulfil a hidden political agenda, are as guilty as the Muslim silent majority that doesn`t speak out clearly into denouncing extremists, but also into explaining what Islam is really about, why so many people adhere and care about it, and more importantly, why they (Mulsims) believe they have something very positive to offer to today`s world, in terms of peace, stability, social prosperity and establishing bridges of understanding between nations.
Unfortunately, at the moment, it is the voices of extremists like Bin Laden and Bush that are being heard everywhere. Voices of reason are silenced or have chosen to remain silent. Sad and quite disturbing, in any case. |
