Some days ago, my grand father compared Donald Rumsfeld to Heinrich Himmler. ("I almost believe that`s the second Himmler.") Then he wondered why Ahmadinedshad needs weapons, wondered why German soldiers and not Merkel and her government are being sent to Lebanon "between the Jews and the criminals", and then, while I was pulling weeds out of his girl friend`s garden while I was briefly looking at him who pulled his wooden leg behind the lawn mower, he said:
"You have it good! Your parents are grown up, grandmother can already eat alone."
Maybe we all need to lose some arms, legs or genitals before realizing that war is not the solution, but part of our problems. |
