| And another amusing little incident that reinforced my knowledge of Poles. Some 15 years ago I played in a int`l band that had a singing Polish bass player who got us some Polish gigs. Once, after we did couple of old Czerwone Gitary numbers, some recently arrived Polish girls suggested that we continue to party with them after the gig. I mean, who in their right mind would deny that Polish women are among some of the most beautiful white women in the world. So, we did, I suggested to a girl I`ve been smooching with to go on to my place. When she didn`t answer right away I asked her in Polish "chuyesh?". She replied, "Jewish? I`m not Jewish. I don`t like Jewish". At that point I decided against repeating the invitation and shortly after dis-invited myself from her company. This is not to dispute the ethnic Polish talent, beauty and achievement. And yes, there were many Poles who helped Jews. But as a general tendency, the Poles tend to be very anti-Semitic. |
