Prior to WWII there were more than 3 milion Jews living in Poland, that`s 10% of the total population and to my knowledge it was highest ratio in the history of the Jewish people (except for the state of Israel).
About 400 thousand Jews lived in Warsaw, that`s more than in the entire country of France.
Given the fact that so many Jews voluntarily settled in Poland, was Polish anti-Semitism more severe than in other countries in Europe? Maybe it`s not true that all Poles "absorbed ant-Ssemitism with their moters` milk". |
