The occupation means oppression, persecution, and denial of basic human rights and liberties. It is therefore difficult to communicate "normally" with my tormentor? It is naive and futile for Israelis to expect a "human discourse" from 1.5 billion Arabs and Muslims while Israel continues her evil treatment of 4 million Palestinians, including starving these people, stealing their money, destroying their homes, bulldozing thier farms, thwarting their democracy, abducting their elected officials, and bombing their streets, schools and power stations. Hence, the problem is this evil occupation. It must end first before we can have any realistic hopes for a Jewish-Muslim modus vivendi.
