Unfortunately, I have come to the conclusion that no discussion of substantive issues is possible until the parameters of civilised discourse are agreed upon, and there is no such agreement regarding the question of what lines of thought will be disallowed as being "anti-Semitic".
Everyone always tacks onto their proposals for thought control laws the proviso that "criticism of Israel is not necessarily anti-Semitic", but they tend to claim that "disputing Israel`s right to existence AS A JEWISH STATE is anti-Semitic" and this renders all serious discussion of Israel`s apartheid-like attitude to its non-Jewish citizens impossible. |
