I`m not the first to have experienced this, but when I first logged on to Ha`aretz, I truly believed I could exchange ideas and different perspectives with the Israeli posters here. What I saw was horrifying. The blood-curdling screams for more war, more bloodshed, in addition to the rampant disregard of anyone else`s opinion wasn`t encouraging. There are those who maintain a minimal amount of decorum and truly try to have discourse based on respect, but the majority could, in the end, only be dealt with sardonic posts that point out their racism and blatant hatred.
I, for one, will be here on Monday. Because I really want to be able to have a discussion about the ME without it sinking into a hate-fest.
