Title:Hezbollah was "saved by the bell"

Israel didn`t accomplish its goals....yet. But to say Hezbollah won, is more of a dream than reality. The IDF was not stopped by Hezbollah, but by the political leadership that didn`t have the stomach to do what was needed and caved to international pressure.

Hezbollah had 600 dead and 600 wounded. Even with the tanks they knocked out, they still couldn`t stop the IDF advance. They lost control of the border strip inlcuding Bint Jbail, whose fighters were either killed, wounded, or hiding. That doesn`t include the rotting Hezbollah bodies in the bunkers. The IDF succeded, The political leadership failed, and Hezbollah was "saved by the bell".
