Problems problems...Peretz is not able to think strategically in military concepts and instead of taking others more experienced advice - he power trips and rejects the ideas the STATE OF ISRAEL needs to survive.
SHAUL should have been running the show from the start - SHAUL is the best man for the position and with the most experience. WHY NOT ???
I hope that the On The Job Training mistakes of Peretz and sadly Olmert, do not result in any catastrophe. Civilians without adequate military EXPERIENCE don`t make for good military LEADERS.
Halutz was right when he suggested taking out infrastructure, as is SHAUL correct in indicating the Litani MUST be pushed to NOW - as TIME is of the ESSENCE. There also must not be ANY handwringing over destroying villages - SHUKI indicating they "took control" of villages just by surrounding the villages is DUMB. We have to smash and destroy the Hezzbollah that remain - surrounding them is SO COWBOYS and INDIANS. We are Israelis VERSUS Terrorists. |
