The tiniest inkling about basic management will tell you that in between these two statements is not a crack but a chasm. Nothing that has happened since Olmert made a lightning decision to eschew diplomacy and go for broke on 12 July, is purely the defense estabishment`s proposal.
If, as a technocrat or an ex-union leader, you choose war, you have to let those who know about it prosecute it.
