After yeshiva attack, students and teachers seek answers in Torah

In the Mercaz Harav yeshiva, students, teachers and community members alike are grappling to come to terms with last week's shooting attack, during which a gunman killed eight students between the ages of 15 and 26.

A common anecdote these days is about a boy who tried to overpower the gunman by delivering a blow to his head using holy Jewish texts.

This is indicative of how the religious nature of the mourning process following this attack distinguishes it from past attacks on predominately secular targets.
