Another blast in S. Lebanon likely caused by cluster bomb

An explosion late Wednesday near a mosque in a Shiite village in southern Lebanon wounded at least four people, Lebanese police said.
The blast occurred in the village of Chabiyeh east of the southern port city of Tyre.
In Beirut, the press office for the Shiite militia Hezbollah, which controls southern Lebanon, said that blast was from a bomb dropped during the July 2006 war with Israel. "It wasn't a bomb that was planted today," a source in the office said.
Lebanese police cordoned off the blast area and started an investigation.
Israel launched a 33-day war against Hezbollah in July 2006, during which many cluster bombs were dropped over southern Lebanon. Since the war ended, 30 people have been killed by explosions of leftover munitions, mostly cluster bombs.
