Woman dies, 4-year-old son critically hurt in Be'er Yaakov fire

A 38-year-old woman was killed Thursday and her four-year-old son was critically hurt when a fire erupted in a residential building in Be'er Yaakov.

Magen David Adom emergency medical technicians rushed to the scene and were attempting to resuscitate the victims.

The woman and her son were found suffering from severe burns and smoke inhalation. Several other residents were evacuated from the building unharmed.

Firefighters pulled the mother and the toddler out of the building and first aid was immediately administered.

So far the cause of the fire is unknown.
