Bomb placed under car kills 2 men in underworld-related incident

A bomb secreted under a car killed two men in Lod early Tuesday morning, in what police believe was an underworld-related assassination.
Both victims have criminal records.
According to regional police chief Commander Yifrah Duchovny, the bomb went off soon after the two got into the car.
The blast killed one of the men instantly. The other suffered severe injuries and died before reaching the hospital.
Duchovny said that the bombing was the work of someone outside of Lod. "All the evidence found at the scene has been passed on to a forensic lab," he added.
