18-year-old dies as car crashes into tree on side of road in Lod

Two people died before dawn Saturday and 11 suffered injuries in three separate car accidents.
In Lod, an 18-year-old man was killed and three others moderately wounded when the car in which they were travelling in collided into a tree on the side of the road.
In the town of Rehovot, an overturned vehicle left one passenger seriously injured and another suffered moderate wounds.
A woman was killed Saturday morning on Highway 4 near Kibbutz Nitzanim. Police say the woman drove her car into the rear of the vehicle in front. Minutes later, another vehicle collided into both cars. The impact of the car killed the woman, while three were injured moderately to seriously and three others suffered light wounds.
The victims were rushed to Barzilai Hospital in Ashkelon for treatment.
