17-year-old boy found stabbed to death after Herzliya brawl

A 17-year-old boy was found dead Sunday night near the commercial area of Herzliya's Neveh Israel neighborhood.
Three young local residents were arrested on suspicion of murdering the boy, who had apparently been stabbed to death during a scuffle.
A senior police officer said that the reason for the boy's death was the "idleness that the ongoing teachers' strike imposed on schoolchildren," Israel Radio reported.
Also on Sunday, police sought to extend the remand of a 16-year-old resident of Bat Yam who had been arrested on Saturday on suspicion of raping and sexually assaulting his sister, 11.
