Pedestrian killed by car; two who came to help hit by separate car

A pedestrian was killed on Saturday after he was hit by a car at a junction in Ashdod.
The pedestrian, Alexei Sirotkin, 34. reportedly crossed the road when the light was red and was struck by an oncoming car. The driver and the passenger of the car that hit him were lightly to moderately injured after they exited their car to assist Sirotkin and were themselves hit by an oncoming car.
In a separate accident Friday morning, a 29-year-old man was killed and three passengers were lightly wounded when the car they were traveling overturned on Highway 5.
