Soldier hurt after accidently setting off grenade in Tel Aviv apartment

A 21-year-old Israel Defense Forces soldier was moderately injured Monday after a stun grenade he was playing with inadvertently exploded in a Tel Aviv apartment.
The soldier was evacuated to Ichilov hospital in Tel Aviv and the police have opened an investigation.
The soldier, an Ashdod resident, was visiting his girlfriend at her apartment in south Tel Aviv at the time of the explosion.
While he was there, he apparently began to play with the shock grenade that he had brought with him from the army. While handling the grenade, the soldier accidentally pulled out the pin.
