Mofaz bars Islamic Movement head from road safety campaign

Transport Minister Shaul Mofaz told the National Road Safety Authority (NRSA) on Wednesday to exclude the head of the Islamic Movement's northern branch in a public relations campaign on road safety.
The campaign is to focus on the Arab sector. Sheikh Raed Salah's prospective participation in the campaign first appeared Wednesday morning on the Israeli news Web site YNET.
A private organization affiliated with the NRSA has sent Salah public relations material for distribution in mosques. When Mofaz learned about the ties with Salah, he ordered the NRSA to sever them completely.
